As the riots in Tottenham happened too late for the earlies, Banks told us about his top story, which was how the National Trust was getting very vexed about the new ‘UK’ planning laws which will according to Banks, “Affect the Green Belt right across the whole of ‘Britain’……”

When I got in, I banged off yet another email to the BBC complaining about the lies, inaccuracies and the corporation’s tendency to conflate England into Britain, especially when there is bad news to be given to the English population…. And believe me, this planning story is very, very bad news for England.

For the benefit of Mr Banks, the hysterical Mr Nolan and the English-hating pen-pushers at the BBC, let’s get one thing straight from the outset. The new planning guideline is an English-only initiative. It does not affect Northern Ireland, nor Scotland, nor Wales. Just England.

The guidelines have been published by the Coalition government and despatched to every English council for implementation. It has rightly caused panic amongst the parties charged with preserving what is left of England’s green spaces – and for the ordinary English citizen it’s yet another kick in the proverbials by a British elite not only hell-bent on destroying any notion of English national identity & pride but now our hallowed green spaces.

For while Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland’s planning procedures remain robustly protective of their respective green belts and green spaces, in England, thanks to these new guidelines it is open season for developers, chancers and ne’r do wells in the chase of a fast buck via a fast build. The planning brakes and all the checks & balances in the planning process have been removed – ostensibly to ‘speed up’ and ‘smooth out’ the process (by that they mean to make it easier to steamroller local opposition). Previously, the emphasis was ‘Why do we need this’ – now it’s ‘When can we have it?’ It’s a volte-face via a conniving two-faced ruling elite. The battle lines have been drawn up, on the one side, the developer, builder, council, government, greed & speculation. On the other, the local community. It’s not a fair fight.

England’s green belt has been under threat for years. When Labour gained power 1997, they raided the resource year-on-year, nibbling away at it for their pet projects. Every year a couple of thousand acres would go, transformed into this new Academy or that desirable housing initiative. And to complete the GBH on the English countryside, in the middle of the decade they commissioned a report by economist Kate Barker. She was tasked to find ways of easing the planning process and of identifying how extra land could be brought into development.  Predictably, this New Labour poodle came up with all the ‘right’ answers – centre stage was ‘the preferred option’ of ‘releasing’ the English green belt to developers & builders.

That staggering news was given the predictable sanitising whitewash by New Labour’s media friends.

And by then, the big players had already moved in and snapped up vast tracts of English green belt.  Multinationals, pension funds and cash rich financiers all own huge amounts of English countryside, just waiting for the green light, the instruction to dig out the theodolite, hard hat & hi-viz jacket – and get surveying. That green light has now been switched on.

Already the feeding frenzy has started. Only last year, a London-based property company was advertising large plots of land for sale in an anonymous corner of Lancashire. In spite of the fact that the local council had repeatedly confirmed that the fields in question were not up for development, this company continued to sell plots as building / development opportunities. The land was not being sold at agricultural rates but as a building investment. As a result, many people lost money because in spite of council advice they expected the land to be given over to development. And in time, it probably will.

Over the past couple of years, right across England in every single council hall and community centre in the land, local council officials have been trying to sell huge new housing new-builds to local, often rural communities. They talked about choice – but in truth, there is none. The government have carried on with Labour’s commitment to build an extra 3 million homes in England by 2027 and someone in the housing department has simply divided that number up by the population centres in each council area. The ‘choice’ is where within each council territory the houses should go – the resultant meetings have had ward fighting ward, village fighting town – anxious to avoid the poisoned chalice of a massive new housing estate dumped on their community boundaries.

And that’s the problem. Previously, if an area needed more houses then they were built. The result was an organic growth – a natural assimilation. The government isn’t ‘planning’ anything like that – their idea is to shoehorn massive carbuncle blocks of new build, sometimes thousands of housing units at a time in locations all over the country. Sleepy villages which have taken a thousand years to grow into a balanced community are at risk of having estates many times the size of their entire housing stock shovelled into the adjoining corn meadow – and all within a few years.

Government is further being arm-twisted by the multinational utilities. They’re demanding ‘economy of scale’ development before they will consent to building the necessary infrastructure such as sewers & drainage. In other words, they’re not interested in 20 or 50 house developments – they want large housing estates of many hundreds / thousands of dwelling before they’ll agree to the work..

So, at-ease and utterly unique country communities risk being remoulded into anonymous homogenised dormitory towns. And in the cities, it could all end in disaster. With the relaxing of green belt, the loss of its sacrosanctity and the inevitable urban creep which will follow, cities will cease to retain their individuality – for instance, Derby & Nottingham and Birmingham & Coventry will each morph together, as will Leeds, Bradford & Sheffield. Unthinkably, Liverpool & Manchester will merge. Very soon, England will become a land of super conurbations as mile upon mile of urban sprawl, gobbles up the increasingly threatened buffer zones of green. That expansion will increase exponentially as development of brown-field waste ground within city boundaries is abandoned in favour of easily available green field sites.

And it is already happening. In urban environs, places like Warrington seem to be on a mission of expansion – already the once sleepy Cheshire town is edging close to Widnes, Runcorn & St Helens. The council hierarchy in Warrington have publically declared their desire to become a city – and I have no doubt they will succeed in their manic obsession. And when they do, it will be urban sprawl from Liverpool & Merseyside, through to Warrington, Salford & Manchester in the east. Four cities in a line barely sixty miles across, one long super-slug of urbania. A vast concrete scar across the north of England.

Whilst in the country, despoilment courtesy of John Prescott and now Eric Pickles/Caroline Spelman is threatening to get out of control.  Want proof? Check out these areas of outstanding natural beauty already under threat.

Historian Michael Wood chose Kibworth in Leicestershire to tell the story of England from the dawn of history to the present day. Anyone who saw the programmes will have been struck by the timelessness of the place, how cohesive it was, and how proud of its Roman, Saxon, Norman, Medieval, Tudor, Georgian and Victorian heritage the locals were. The village had grown naturally – organically over that time, with the result that the place functioned as a community. Unfortunately, all that has now disappeared as in 2007, John Prescott overran the objections of the villagers and gave permission for 600 new houses to be built on the edge of the village. Kibworth as was is no more – it’s just another ‘flagship development in the East Midlands, offering a stunning collection of 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes on two phases.’ As it says in the advertising bumph..

Even then 6 years ago, such were our planning laws that if a developer did get the thumbs down they simply reapplied or failing that appealed to the Minister concerned. Without compliant and spineless Ministerial & Council officials, TescoTowns would not exist, for increasingly, a council ‘No’ meant ‘Yes’(if you reapply & appeal often enough), whatever the locals most affected thought. And now that process has been streamlined and simplified as any checks & balances which did exist have been got rid of.

Now it’s a free for all. A Klondyke of exploitation, fast-build and fast-buck on England’s green & pleasant. Previous government policy of developing brownfield sites before green belt have been given the elbow. Urban sprawl beckons, just like they have in the States, but the problem is, we don’t have the space….

What can be done? I believe there is hope. Such is the government’s drive for development, I really do believe that people will rise up and protest. The proposed developments are a concerted nationwide, English-only obsession – that will have consequences. Already, the National Trust and the Campaign for the Protection of Rural England are beginning to make noises – they have both come together to express their concerns. (see below). Perhaps a spontaneous popular joining together, a sort of Greenman protest movement might get underway?

The population of England cannot go on expanding. Last time I looked, the Land Shop was all out of supplies, so we have to live within our means – make use of what we have already got. We have to grow enough to feed ourselves, and be able to produce our own energy. A stable economy which does not depend on frenzied housing booms and property speculation is the way forward. There was a recent report which projected that Germany’s population will decrease by 12 million in 2050 (which will be considerably lower than England’s) – and I am willing to bet that when that time comes around, they’ll still be by far the biggest economy in Europe while we’ll still planning our economy around a south sea island house building boom – except by then, if we don’t change our ways, we won’t have that much land left to build on. And what agriculture we do have left will be dominated by GM technology to get more produce per acre – whatever the price.

What you can do!

Lobby the organisation 38 degrees to take up the cause of protecting England’s diminishing green spaces. (They successfully got the government to change their minds on the sell-off of England’s forests). Vote here to protect England’s Green Belt!

Except that it isn’t is it? The report’s proposals are at best ‘less-bad’ than we currently have  – but compared to other countries in this alleged ‘union of equals’ it is yet another case of the English cash cow being milked, fleeced, rogered and sacrificed upon the altar of political connivance.

Compare and contrast how the Scottish Government look after their elderly – and how the Westminster collective use smoke, mirrors and the mushroom principle to ensure that our elderly in England are used as little more than money donors to the union cause.

In Scotland all elderly care is paid for by the Scottish Government. It doesn’t matter if you’re the Duke of Atholl’s dad, Sean Connery’s aunty or Jimmy Krankie’s ailing guardian, none of them will be required to sell their home, ancestral castle or Cote d’azur Cap Ferrat condo. They’ll not be forced to empty their bank accounts or flog off the family silver to pay for their care because it’s all free, gratis, and for nowt, courtesy of their more-than-generous block grant from Westminster.

And in England? No such state-sponsored generosity. No, in England it’s all about squeezing till the pips squeak. It’s extortion from men in stripey suits carrying violin cases and threatening to leave a horse’s head in your 100 quid a day social care-home bed…. As of now, if you have assets of over £23,250 and you need to go into a social care programme then they’ll have it off you – the lot.

It’s best illustrated by a radio piece broadcast yesterday. A BBC reporter interviewed a somewhat weary middle-aged, middle-income, middle-England woman whose 93 year old mother was in care.  The lady was asked how the Dilnot proposals might affect her mother’s outlook – and her bank balance. The woman said that Dilnot was not a panacea – it was still going to hurt a hell of a lot of people. And a ceiling of £35,000 was still an awful lot of money to find – and anyway, she thought the government would drag their feet sufficiently as to make any difference to her mum’s circumstances completely irrelevant. She then told her story, in many ways it is typical of the routine filching of the English by a Westminster elite – and of the way we just seem to roll over and take it.

When asked how much it had (to date) cost to finance her mum’s care, the lady said “So far they’ve taken over £170,000 from my mum’s assets.” It costs her over £100 a day, every single day”….

That’s nearly a grand a week, not far off 50k a year – and counting….

Just consider the magnitude of that cost. £170,000 paid by an ailing dementia-suffering nonagenarian; while just up the road in the means-test-free zone that is Scotland it’s the Gratis Gravy-train for billionaires, millionaires, homeless tramps and everyone in between. I was waiting for an expression of outrage from the BBC man – but predictably none came. The reporter didn’t say a word. No surprise or indignation from him – to be honest, it hardly registered as he patched us back to the studio. It was almost as if it was expected, the assumed white flagged position of humiliation, surrender, subjugation and exploitation – the natural state of things in England.

Once again, the English are getting comprehensively tax-shafted to provide enough money for others in the union to enjoy benefits that are apparently off limits for us. Yesterday’s media reports was like a rerun of the announcement that tuition fees would treble to £9,000 – all day, as with tuition fees, a myriad of experts, commentators and politicians were rolled out to tell the English public why it was impossible to finance our old age elderly care without extra taxation, insurance cover and one-off payments of around 35 grand. Lectures abounded from gravitas-laden government flunkeys about how the new scheme would cost £1.7 billion, and how it may only be afforded via an extra dollop of pensioner taxation…

But how can this be? We all contribute to an economy which is common to all four nations of the UK. We’re told that this UK is apparently a ‘union of equals’ where both the pleasure and the pain is supposed to be a shared experience for all.  In this co-operative, during the good times every UK citizen is supposed to shared the dividends, similarly, in the bad times the more who share the pain, the less it hurts – and as a confirmer, David Cameron likes to proclaim that “We are all in this together”…

But that’s the PR Cameron double-speaking… Quite clearly we are not in anything together..

Some citizens within the UK are living off the backs of others – and routinely enjoying services and benefits that are totally off-limits to us in England. It’s like a colossal pyramid selling scam with no prospect of Ester Rantzen exposing the obscenity of ripped-off England by the gangsters of Westminster.

It’s about time the English public woke up to that fact.

Our comment: Mr Barder, this entire mess is down to New Labour’s bizarre devolution project. Any mature right thinking political party would have known that you cannot give devolved government to 3 countries while ignoring the 4th and biggest of them all. A federal UK in 1998 was the no brainer – the fact that Blair, Brown, Reid, Derry Irvine, Browne, Alexander et al chose to leave England wallowing in a democracy-free zone says much about their collective conceit, arrogance and naivity….

For after 13 years of democratic emasculation, while the other 3 home countries frolic in parliament / assembly / referendum overload an English grassroots rebellion is about to explode. Salmond, ever threatening to take his ball home unless a fawning Westminster gives him more and more concessions is skating on thin ice. There is now a clear majority in England (roughly double the percentage than there is north of the border) insisting that Scotland leaves the UK.

As a possible response to this worrying news that the English may after all be growing a backbone, the Scottish First Minister is now talking in terms of ‘independence-lite’ – sort of having all the benefits of being independent but with the security blanket that is the English taxpayer (a cake and eat it strategy?)…..

The problem is, that solution will not be tolerated in England. Salmond has grandstanded for the last time, the bluff has been called, the union is dead. Not because of the Scots but because at last, the English are beginning to wonder what possible advantages there are by being a member of a union so comprehensively skewed against them.

The sooner the UK is consigned to the bin, the better for all concerned – especially the English.

David Cameron’s minister for Scotland has signalled that the coalition may hold a snap referendum on the break up of Britain to wrong foot the Scottish National party’s plans for independence.

David Mundell, the Conservative Scottish Office minister, said it would be legitimate for Westminster to intervene in the constitutional debate and put the question of separation to Scottish voters unless Alex Salmond, the SNP leader, moves quickly.

Senior Tories, including Murdo Fraser, deputy Conservative leader in the Scottish parliament, and Lord Forsythe, a former Scottish Secretary at Westminster favour an early vote, believing the SNP would lose. Polls show that only one in three Scots favours secession.

While Salmond won an overall majority in Thursday’s devolved elections, his allies accept that the Scottish first minister may need at least two years to build the case for independence.

Salmond has signalled that he intends to wait until at least 2015, claiming this would give him time to focus first on strengthening the Scotland Bill currently passing through Westminster. This will enlarge the powers of the Edinburgh parliament. 

Cameron made it clear in a telephone call with Salmond on Friday evening that he would not block a referendum called by the Scottish parliament, despite doubts about whether it has the legal authority to hold one.

Constitutional matters are a reserved issue for Westminster, however, and Cameron has the power to put independence to a public vote if he believes that delays by Salmond are causing uncertainty and undermining the economy.

Asked whether Westminster might impose a referendum, Mundell said: “Obviously Westminster has a direct interest in this matter and could always get involved.”

He added: “The first part of that debate has to take place in the Scottish parliament. I think the argument about the Westminster government becoming involved is one only to have after it is clear that no progress has been made in the Scottish parliament.”

The issue seems to have split the coalition with Michael Moore, Liberal Democrat Scottish secretary, saying a referendum was a matter entirely for the Scottish parliament.

To boost the chances of a yes vote some SNP activists are pressing for the referendum to be held in 2014 on the 700^th  anniversary of the battle of Bannockburn, which helped to secure Scotland’s independence from England. The battle is the inspiration for Flower of Scotland, the unofficial national anthem sung at international events.

Cameron, who has pledged to fight ”with every single fibre” to save the union, hopes that agreeing to give the Scottish parliament a series of extra powers will dampen support for separation.

The Scotland Bill will give the parliament the ability to raise or cut income tax by 10p in the pound, at least £2 billion of borrowing powers and control over drink-drive limits, air guns and speed limits.

Cameron has also sanctioned LibDem plans that could put Scottish crofters in competition with the royal family for funding. Coastal villages are to receive windfalls from green energy schemes on land owned by the Crown Estate. The government is scrapping the civil list and will give the Queen and her family a slice of Crown Estate profits, but the deal for villages could mean less will be left for the royals.

Scottish writer Gerald Warner’s dire warnings for Scotland’s fiscal outlook…

…‘The Barnett Formula currently awards £1,600 more per capita public expenditure in Scotland than in England. There is universal recognition, however, that English taxpayers will no longer submit to Danegeld on so outrageous a scale’…

…’So, in order simply to stand still and avoid closing hospitals and schools across Scotland, that £4.5 billion shortfall would have to be made up out of the new taxation Holyrood will be empowered to levy. It is at that point Scots will finally come face to face with the appalling fiscal demography of their nation. Out of four million Scottish voters, only 2.3 million pay income tax’…

For voters in England, Scotland is an enigma. Two Scottish run banks, Royal Bank of Scotland and Halifax Bank of Scotland, played a huge role in Britain’s financial crisis. Both had to be rescued by taxpayers, the latter after a shotgun marriage to Lloyds Bank. Yet when taxpayers look at Scotland they see a country where prescriptions are free and the only European Union students charged for their university education are from other parts of Britain.

They also see a country where identifiable public spending per head is a fifth above English levels. Thursday’s election, you might think, will change all that and be fought on competing visions of managing austerity. But Mr Salmond is heading for victory on the basis of a manifesto filled with unashamedly populist policies.

The SNP has promised an election giveaway despite knowing the coffers are bare. It includes council tax frozen for a further five years, no water rates rises for two years, the continuation of free prescription charges, no university tuition fees and the promise of no compulsory redundancies in the public sector.

Mr Salmond has come up with a series of apparently ingenious ideas for avoiding fiscal austerity. In the end, however, they add up to more borrowing to support a larger welfare state. But the SNP leader is an economist and even he cannot make Scotland immune from the laws of economics. There is a lesson here for the rest of Britain. All the leading Scottish parties are fighting the election with manifestoes that do not fully add up. The Centre for Public Policy for Regions warned the electorate to be sceptical. Cuts cannot be avoided, even if the politicians will seek to blame them on Westminster.

There is a lesson, too, for Labour. Scotland’s election is a two-horse race between Labour and the SNP, a choice between the ineffective left and the nationalist left. Labour is losing this battle, and the endorsements of Scotland’s business community, to the SNP. The party’s economic message under Mr Milliband is no more credible nationally. To be fair, Britain’s 2010 general election was fought on platforms of fiscal unreality. This time the people of Scotland deserve more honesty about what lies in store. They are not getting it.

Like the EU, Britain was created by foreigners.

Like the EU, Britain takes our hard earned taxes and squanders them on fancy-Dan initiatives in other countries.

Like the EU, Britain favours using foreign workers in jobs in England rather than the locals.

Like the EU, Britain elects foreigners to posts of power and influence, who then in turn discriminate against the English. And in the case of Gordon Brown signs a “claim of right” putting the interests of his own country of Scotland ‘first & foremost’. And by becoming PM, he was able to maintain the status quo, continue with generous subsidies north of the border and scotch any demand from within England for a fairer slice of the Exchequer pie – and reform of our democratic deficit.

Like the EU, Britain made us lose our flag, our own history, culture and our voice. They have tried to make us sing to a different tune by changing our laws and salami-slicing our country up into meaningless areas of convenience.

Like the EU, Britain does not see an England, there is only British law and not English law, there is no right or liberty of England.

Like the EU, Britain demands complete obedience. But loyalty is a sentiment, not law. Loyalty resides with love, not restraint. You cannot be force-fed loyalty, it comes from within, from the heart. It lives in your soul and not the head. It can be tattooed on your skin but will never flow through your veins.

If one looked into a crystal ball to see the future of the EU then what you’d see is a mirror image of Modern Britain. The image of an all controlling state, a state which erodes national identity, discriminates against patriots and favours mass immigration.  A state which has hidden a nation under an imaginary cloak of contrived unity, a state which has attempted to replace Englishness with a foisted-faux identity of Britishness and has allowed other nations to flourish at the expense of our own. That is the future of the EU

I find it so very sad to see our freedom, our hard-won rights and our democracy given up and handed over so easily with barely a whimper of dissent from our citizens. The process has only happened because we have let it – and apathy is at the core of the problem. We seem more intent on voting for some dodgy cabaret act on X-Factor rather than ensuring our democratic interests at the ballot box are enforced.

Via the new MODERN EU, our nation is being cast aside, ripped up and conglomerated into vague areas of geography – realigned at the whim of a Brussels Eurocrat and his felt-tip pen. And we have done precious little to stop them – isn’t it easier to control and dictate when the electorate have given up?

I’d like to say how amazed I was that our not-so-great and not-very-good elected politicians have signed away our rights and freedoms with such enthusiasm without having the decency of allowing us our national say.  But I am not. They merely assumed the default position of our contempt for them. They promise, we vote them into power, they renege, they lie, they get voted in again… and so it perpetuates.

Their mendacity breeds contempt and indifference from the vast majority of the electorate.

But don’t we learn anything from our history? Don’t the books of our past teach us anything? Three hundred years ago, unelected bureaucrats decided that England, without any kind of public consultation be merged with a bankrupted Scotland. At that time, they had wasted over 50% of their national income on a madcap investment of national expansion in central America called the Darien Experiment. The project floundered, the Scots had little alternative but to go cap in hand to the English ruling class and beg to be bailed out with English gold as their financial institutions were close to collapse. (nothing new there then).

So in the year of 1707 our once great, proud and historic nation was forced to enter into a union that very few wanted. It was a scheme drawn up by men impervious to the public mood. Not once was this union discussed with the people – and from that day to this, our nation has been used, our tolerance tested, our compassion abused and our good name slated.

When New Labour and now the Conservatives lied about offering a referendum on the EU, why the hell weren’t people on the streets protesting, demanding their right to have a say on the future of their own country? Why weren’t millions marching through our towns and cities? Why weren’t the likes of Blair and Brown, Cameron and Clegg kicked out of their respective offices and positions for abjectly failing to conform to the will of the people?

When I think of the Magna Carta – the Great Charter, the world’s first written document which defined the limits of the state and the rights of the citizen, it makes me proud to know that it was an entirely English achievement. But I also find it ironic that this monumental document, adopted as a functioning blueprint worldwide from the Declaration of Independence to the UN Charter as a statement of rights and democracy should be so compromised here in England.

And the usual suspects are to blame….                        

Westminster – the seat of man, where our leaders once met with open minds and no hidden agenda, men like Disraeli and Gladstone who fought with eloquent honesty and determination for the betterment of society has become a rat’s nest of intrigue, mendacity and collusion.

The Church of England – a mouthpiece for the secular society, betrayed a nation due to their willingness to push political correctness and now headed by a Welsh druid with a unerring talent for saying immensely stupid things on subjects he knows nothing about.

Our Nationality – In England alone, in this the 21^st century, the British and EU elite have sought to make ‘England’ a term of abuse and embarrassment. They have poured scorn on our traditions, culture, values and liberty.

All of these wonderful English institutions have been smashed to smithereens by the doctrine of the all-powerful EU and complicit British states.

I want to be tried by my peers,

 I want to be innocent until my accuser proves me guilty

I want my taxation to go to my nation

I want my EHS (English Health Service) to treat our people first

i want equality within the UK.

I want my English nationality recognised and respected.

I want to be governed by my own people who know of our history and who will build an England of love, care and compassion.

I want to be represented by people we elect nationally – and who aren’t in politics for the money, the ego or the power trip

There is a difference between us and rest of Europe – and this is why the EU super state will never succeed. Our national colours are not the same as others, our way, our self deprecating manner, the way we laugh at ourselves, drink tea and join queues are treasures of our very long nation state existence. Our country is scarred, every hillside, every valley, every pasture and field has been worked and shaped by generations of our people. Our ingenuity has given the world so much – from our language, the worldwide tongue of choice; to the reason you can read this post – the invention of the World Wide Web by Tim Berners-Lee.

There are some who will suggest that the fight against the EU MUST come first. I disagree.

Our fight is for our national recognition, for our English parliament and our cultural identity. This national imperative must come first because only the economic giant that is a united England can hope to successfully take on the EU. Only an England which is secure, confident and forward looking will survive the EU super plan of divide and conquer.

Britain is dead, deceased, defunct, no more. It’s the dead parrot from the Monty Python sketch – except that its demise is tragic rather than comedic. It died the day Tony Blair let the genie of devolution out of the bottle. Three of the four nations are revelling in national self determination – I believe it’s time for the fourth, England to do the same.

And so, what of the future – well now that we English are knocking on the door of the British bank of justice to which we have come to take back our loan, we find this bank is empty. The vaults are bare and our loan, the loan that we gave in good grace to help the needy and the sick of other nations is no more. The loan of tolerance and care, the loan of unity and love has been spent, the loan of national loyalty has gone and all we get back is an IOU and a note to say SORRY “INSUFFICENT FUNDS”, well our typical English patience is no more, our national trait of not complaining and apologising for who we are has gone and thousands are rallying to the call, more and more people are casting aside their blinkers and seeing the light, young and old are renewing their English identity with a vigour, a passion and a hunger that hasn’t been seen for years, for these people know that we are standing upon the edge – we must reclaim our country before it slips away, buried into EU enclaves forever.

But with this new sense of pride and vigour, there comes a warning. Because we are being pushed to the brink there are those who will hope that the English will blow off steam, that we will riot and wreck, that the stereotypical media-created image of English patriotism of football fans running battles with fellow supporters or authorities in some distant corner of Europe will shame us back under the Butchers Apron of British Rule. But I can promise you that the whirlwinds of revolt will continue to grow until we English are granted equal status within this so called union of equals. Our cause will not cease until we democratically elect members to an English Parliament and that England, free of the British and of the EU has its own government and own national status.

Churchill said after the Battle of Britain was won “This was their finest hour”. Well Winnie you were wrong. If we defeat the EU and Britain, if we come out from under the cloak of the bastard British then England’s future generations will say ‘This was OUR finest hour and we will be free, at last’…

 Certain breweries, Supermarket chains (you know who you are) and high street shops & pubs across England only fly the flag on 23^rd April, they parade their patriotism merely to maximise their commercial opportunities. Yet for the remaining 364 days, the name of England barely registers. They have no concept of other iconic English celebrations like Royal Oak Day – and little interest in our customs.

And as for the Establishment, they peddle the same old line of reclaiming the flag from the far right – but that is fatuous nonsense. The far right have never claimed the Cross of St George, the last time we looked, far right groups like the BNP have nailed their colours firmly to the Union Flag and stand ramrod-straight whenever God Save the Queen is played.  They believe in putting Britain and certainly not England first, they believe in the Union of the four home nations and not getting justice for the 50 million democratically emasculated souls who live in England.

To add insult to injury, David Cameron, his party, his coalition partners and the official opposition are now trying to suggest that Trafalgar Day and not St George’s Day should become a new bank holiday. This simply will not do. We at Justice for England request all our supporters lobby and demand an end to Plastic Patriotism – and for the 23^rd April to become an English national bank holiday. We demand the Government finances our national celebrations right across England, it encourages our school children and ethnic minorities to embrace our national day, and that it sponsors street parties and local celebrations thus allowing our nation to unite and celebrate just like every other home nation does.

 So if you want an end to Plastic Patriotism and to make 23^rd April, St George’s Day a truly national day, then make sure you not only celebrate St George’s Day but ensure your English patriotism is there for all to see every day of the year.
